Mansookh

Abrogated. This is is a technical term in Islamic jurisprudence referring to when a ruling from one point in the Prophet’s lifetime changed at a later date. For example, when the Prophet first migrated to Madinah, the qiblah was towards Jerusalem, but at a later date it was changed to the Ka’bah in Mecca. It is now impermissible to pray one’s wajib prayers facing Jerusalem as opposed to Mecca
