Tasbeeh

This refers to praising God in a repetitive, formulaic fashion. It is sometimes done using prayer beads to count. The most famous tasbeeh is to say “Allahu Akbar” (Allah is Greatest) 34 times, followed by “Alhamdulillah” (all praise is due to Allah) 33 times, followed by “SubhanAllah” (glory be to Allah) 33 times. The closest Christian equivalent would be the Jesus prayer or saying Hail Mary’s on the rosary.
